My grandmother, Grace Brown, passed away last week. She loved the color pink and she was buried in a pink dress. I picked up a new pink tie to wear at her funeral. I got this one from Stein Mart for $14.99. The brand is Jones New York. I’ve been really impressed by the last few Jones New York ties that I’ve picked up. All have been really good for rocking a fat knot.

My wife loves to garden and this year she planted a few sunflowers. I was expecting some “normal sized” flowers. I didn’t realize that she had planted Mammoth Sunflowers. In just a few weeks, these things shot up. One is about 12 feet tall. The bees are loving them!

Pink the Pit Bull loves her bones. She cracks me up when she walks around with them like they’re a Stogie. Maybe she could be featured on Cigar Aficionado?.

We recently had some friends over to the Corbin Compound for a cookout. Fired up the grill and rocked some steaks, chicken, etc. Good times.

I’ve been a little behind on posting recently. Crecente reminded me of this today, so I thought I’d through up some images from our recent trip to Arizona. (Sorry, no new fat knots!) Here I am with “Big Boy” and my wife’s maternal grandparents. This was taken at Big Boy in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

While driving down I-26 (heading toward Beaufort, SC), Pink, the Pit Bull, provided navigational support. Katy rocked the camera phone and caught Pink in action. Right by my ear barking directions.

Katy got a Santa hat for our Pit Bull Pup, Pinky. While most people relate pit bulls to fighting and attacks, Pinky is one of the best puppies I’ve ever been around. She really just wants to snuggle up on the couch and watch TV (or sleep while I watch TV). Don’t be afraid to get a pit bull. They can be some of the best dogs out there. Merry Christmas!
