The start of a good weekend: A Rockers Growler (half a gallon) of
Buckwheat. RJ Rockers makes great “cold beer.” If you are around a quality establishment like Terry’s Tap Room, get some on draft. (Grab a growler to take some home like I did!)
For a full list of locations that offer Rockers beer, check their site.
My wife loves to garden and this year she planted a few sunflowers. I was expecting some “normal sized” flowers. I didn’t realize that she had planted Mammoth Sunflowers. In just a few weeks, these things shot up. One is about 12 feet tall. The bees are loving them!
We recently had some friends over to the Corbin Compound for a cookout. Fired up the grill and rocked some steaks, chicken, etc. Good times.

One of my co-workers, Bob Peasley, gave me a bottle of his home-brewed
mead to try out. Well, last night, my wife and I decided to pop the bottle open to see what mead was all about. Bob warned me that it would be sweet and a little more potent than an average beer. He was correct on both! I enjoyed it, though. I actually thought it was very good. I’ve got to be honest however…. I don’t think I could drink more than one bottle at a sitting…. I don’t think I could get up the next morning to Rock the Fat Knot! Bob, great job on the mead! If things at work continue to stay busy, I may need a five gallon bucket of this stuff!
